Akshay Kumar has finally addressed his absence from the Bhool Bhulaiyaa sequels. In an interview with Pinkvilla, the actor revealed, “I was removed. That’s it,” when asked why he wasn’t part of the second and third installments. Fans resonated with his statement, expressing their disappointment online, with many admitting they skipped the sequels due to his absence.
Karthik Aaryan, who replaced Akshay as the lead in Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2 and 3, shared his admiration for the veteran actor, stating, “I’ve always been a huge fan of Akshay. It feels strange to be compared to him.” Meanwhile, director Anees Bazmee explained that the script didn’t allow for Akshay’s inclusion, despite their wish to have him onboard.
