Entrepreneur Malik Asad and celebrated Pakistani fashion designer Mohsin Naveed Ranjha have made history by establishing the first South Asian couture brand in London’s prestigious Regent Street district. This marks a significant debut on the global fashion scene.

 

The MNR studio, brought to Mortimer Street just off Regent Street, is a collaborative project by creative director Mohsin Naveed Ranjha, managing director Abubakar Naveed Ranjha, and fashion ecosystem pioneer Malik Asad. The studio aims to redefine luxury and elegance, offering a diverse range of couture for both men and women.

The decision to open in London’s Regent Street area followed thorough market research, with a focus on catering to the British Asian community in the UK and expanding the reach of Pakistani fashion to a broader audience. The studio launch was attended by Bollywood actress Sonam Bajwa and numerous leading Pakistani and Indian society figures, attracting a large crowd eager to witness the glamour and elegance showcased inside.

Malik Asad, CEO of Cresset, emphasized the significance of the London launch, highlighting the credibility and good intentions behind the venture. The team aims to collaborate with more Pakistani brands to propel them onto the global stage.

 

Bollywood actress Sonam Bajwa expressed that Mohsin Naveed Ranjha’s presence in London symbolizes the global recognition of South Asian creativity and craftsmanship. She commended the designer’s journey as a representation of culture and community that inspires and uplifts.

Mohsin Naveed Ranjha, the creative director, shared his sentiments of pride and accomplishment, expressing gratitude for showcasing the talent and craftsmanship of South Asian artisans in one of the world’s fashion capitals. His designs pay homage to the vibrant legacy of the South Asian subcontinent, transcending boundaries to unveil its inherent beauty. The London studio offers collections from various Pakistani cities and includes London-exclusive designs.

The launch of the MNR studio in London is seen as a milestone in promoting Pakistan’s soft image on the global stage and providing a platform for South Asian creativity in the fashion industry.
