Veteran actress Fazila Qazi has voiced her frustration over the distribution of Pakistan’s Presidential Awards, stating that many are awarded based on personal connections rather than merit. She made these remarks while appearing on Tabish Hashmi’s show Hansna Mana Hai, alongside her husband, actor Qaiser Nizamani.
Qazi expressed disappointment, revealing that several deserving artists are overlooked in the awards process. She sarcastically noted her relief that her husband received his Presidential Award during a time when merit was prioritized. Qazi also disclosed that although she was considered for the award, her file has remained stagnant for five years, expressing frustration with authorities who seem to ignore hard-working artists.
