Waitrose Limits Dubai-Style Chocolate Purchases Amid High Demand

Chocolate

British supermarket chain Waitrose has introduced a two-bar purchase limit on Dubai-style chocolate bars after overwhelming demand from customers. The indulgent treat, featuring milk chocolate, 45% pistachio, and crunchy Kadayif pastry, has become a viral sensation in the UK.

Originally launched in December 2024, the Lindt chocolate bar gained massive popularity through social media, particularly on TikTok, where influencers showcased its unique taste and texture. The surge in demand led Waitrose to impose restrictions to ensure more customers could enjoy the product.

A sign posted in Waitrose stores reads, “No more than two bars per person please… because we want everyone to have the chance to enjoy this delicious chocolate.” The retailer expects fresh stock of the £10 bars to arrive by March 31 but warns they are selling out fast.

Lindt has also expanded its Dubai-style chocolate range, introducing a praline box and a smaller 40g bar, available exclusively at its newly opened Piccadilly store in London. With growing demand for premium and exotic flavours, the Dubai-style chocolate craze is showing no signs of slowing down.
