Govinda Urges Media Not to Misinterpret His Accidental Shooting Incident

Bollywood actor Govinda has appealed to the Indian media to refrain from misinterpreting the recent accidental shooting incident that resulted in an injury to his leg. The actor was discharged from a private hospital in Mumbai on October 4, after receiving emergency treatment following the accident.

The incident occurred on October 1, when Govinda accidentally shot himself in the leg while handling his revolver at home. Reports indicate that the gun fell from his hand and discharged, causing a deep wound that required immediate medical attention.

Upon his discharge, Govinda expressed gratitude to the doctors, hospital staff, and well-wishers for their support during this challenging time. He thanked his fans, fellow actors, and politicians who reached out to inquire about his health.

Reflecting on the incident, Govinda stated, “At first, I couldn’t believe how the shot happened—it was sudden and purely accidental.” He urged fans to learn from his experience and exercise caution when handling firearms. Additionally, he requested that the media not sensationalize the event, emphasizing, “Please don’t give this incident any other interpretation. The truth is that it was purely accidental.”

After receiving 8 to 10 stitches in his leg, Govinda is now recovering at home and is out of danger.
