Hamza Ali Abbasi, a prominent actor and host, recently shared his personal journey towards Islam in a podcast, explaining why he doesn’t consider himself a “born Muslim.” Although he was born into a Muslim family, Abbasi clarified that his religious life today is the result of his conscious decision to explore and understand Islam.

Abbasi revealed that his curiosity about various religions led him to study them, ultimately choosing Islam because he found it to be the most logical and spiritually fulfilling. He emphasized that his decision was not influenced by any major life event but stemmed from a natural desire to understand the world, the afterlife, and the concept of accountability in the hereafter.
The actor, who does not claim to be a religious scholar, shared that he practices and discusses the parts of Islam he believes to be intellectually and spiritually true. He stressed that simply being born into a Muslim family is not enough; one must consciously follow and understand the teachings of Islam.
