Among Pakistan’s unforgettable TV characters, Hina Dilpazeer’s portrayal of Momo in Bulbulay remains one of the most cherished. Known for her signature “oof” and amusingly exaggerated reactions, Momo’s charm has won over countless fans. Interestingly, Hina, who played the elder mother on the show, is actually younger than Nabeel Zafar, who portrayed her son.

In a recent chat on the FHM Pakistan podcast, Nabeel shared that Hina didn’t hesitate to take on the role despite the age difference. Having previously worked together, Nabeel called Hina with the offer, saying, “You may be a few years younger, but you’ll have to play my mother!” Hina laughed and enthusiastically accepted.
Her commitment to Momo’s character has made her an irreplaceable part of the series’ success, but she’s bound by contract not to play Momo elsewhere. This unique role, alongside co-stars like Ayesha Omar and Mehmood Aslam, has cemented Bulbulay as Pakistan’s longest-running sitcom since its 2009 debut.
