Junaid Khan Discusses Apologizing for Sanam Saeed Incident

Pakistani actor and singer Junaid Khan recently discussed a distressing incident from his career involving a scene with actress Sanam Saeed. On Ahmed Ali Butt’s podcast, Junaid reflected on this moment, which he considers the worst of his career.

He recounted that the incident occurred in 2012 during the filming of the drama series Mata-e-Jaan Hai Tu. The script required him to slap Sanam, and despite his initial hesitation, the director, Mehreen Jabbar, insisted on a genuine slap for authenticity. Sanam also urged him to make it real.

Junaid initially slapped Sanam lightly, but following a director’s demand for a more convincing take, he struck her harder during a reshoot. He expressed regret over the incident, noting that although it was part of the shoot, it made both him and Sanam uncomfortable.
