Naseeruddin Shah spoke in favor of discouraging Islamophobia

Famous Indian actor Naseeruddin Shah expressed his worries about the rising anti-Muslim prejudice in a recent interview, calling it a carefully nurtured mindset that has regrettably come to be accepted in society.

Shah, who is well known for his candor and criticism of the current administration’s party, shined light on the worrisome incidence of open Islamophobia and its perilous repercussions for a multicultural country like India. Shah firmly held the opinion that the nation’s harsh reality of Islamophobia is reflected in the contemporary cinematic environment. He made the observation that propaganda presented as entertainment is gladly absorbed, reflecting the current political climate.
