Bollywood superstar Salman Khan has increased his security after receiving new death threats from the Lawrence Bishnoi gang. The actor recently purchased a second bulletproof vehicle, a Nissan Patrol SUV imported from Dubai, to enhance his safety. This new addition, costing around $240,000, is equipped with advanced bulletproof protection and features a 5.6-litre V8 engine with a four-wheel-drive system.
Salman Khan’s decision follows recent threats from the Bishnoi gang, which has taken responsibility for the murder of former Maharashtra minister Baba Siddique. The gang has repeatedly targeted Khan, especially since his involvement in the 1998 blackbuck poaching case, where the animal holds special significance for the Bishnoi community.

Security around the actor has been tightened, with authorities maintaining a high alert status. The new bulletproof SUV is just one of the measures taken to ensure his safety, especially after receiving a fresh extortion demand of over $600,000. The message warned that if the amount isn’t paid, Khan’s fate could mirror Siddique’s.
Lawrence Bishnoi, the source of these threats, is currently incarcerated at Sabarmati Central Jail in Gujarat. His transfers between various prisons have been a response to both security concerns and reports of jail regulation violations.
