Umme Hasaan, the wife of Maulana Abdul Aziz, the controversial figure associated with Lal Masjid in Islamabad, has been booked on treason and terror charges. The Kohsar police station filed a First Information Report (FIR) against her for allegedly inviting the banned Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) to carry out attacks in the capital city. The FIR states that Umme Hasaan incited the TTP to target Islamabad and labeled the security institutions as enemies of Islam.

Details of the Incident:

According to the FIR, Umme Hasaan delivered a speech in which she encouraged a civil war against the Counter-Terrorism Department (CTD) and other institutions. She allegedly sought to incite violence and undermine the authority of security forces. Her remarks and actions were deemed to be in violation of the law, leading to the registration of the FIR.

Protests and Arrest Attempt:

Following the attempted arrest of Maulana Abdul Aziz, female students from Jamia Hafsa, an Islamic seminary associated with Lal Masjid, staged demonstrations by blocking several roads, including Jinnah Avenue and the bridge near Kulsoom Plaza. Umme Hasaan claimed that during the arrest attempt, Maulana Abdul Aziz engaged in a crossfire with the CTD team, eventually escaping and seeking refuge at Jamia Hafsa in G-7.

Involvement of Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP):

In a video message, Umme Hasaan appealed to the banned Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) for support, urging them not to remain silent in the face of the situation. Her remarks raised concerns about potential collaboration or incitement of violence by extremist groups.

Umme Hasaan has been charged with treason and terrorism offenses based on her alleged involvement in inciting violence, promoting civil unrest, and inviting the TTP to carry out attacks in Islamabad.
