Mercedes-Benz has made a striking debut at the German International Automobile and Smart Mobility Expo (IAA MOBILITY 2023) by launching a state-of-the-art mobile tech hub. The event showcased the E-Class All-Terrain wagon, offering a glimpse into the future of connected transportation while introducing a special feature to alleviate car sickness for passengers.
The E-Class All-Terrain wagon impresses with its size, boasting greater passenger capacity and a spacious 615–1,830-liter boot space. Equipped with 4MATIC all-wheel drive (AWD) and AIRMATIC air suspension featuring variable damping, this vehicle is designed to effortlessly handle diverse driving conditions and provide a smooth travel experience.
The interior of the E-Class All-Terrain wagon boasts cutting-edge tech features, highlighted by the MBUX super screen, which transforms the dashboard into a sleek and user-friendly interface. Powering this advanced interface is the third-generation MBUX intelligent human-computer interaction technology, which includes a 5G communication module and an expanded range of third-party apps. For those prone to motion sickness during journeys, the E-Class also offers a “motion sickness relief mode.”
In terms of power options, the car provides both gasoline and plug-in hybrid variants. The hybrid model offers an impressive 440 Newton-meters (Nm) of peak torque and can travel up to 100 kilometers on electric power alone.
Adding to its modern appeal, the E-Class All-Terrain wagon features a smart digital key that allows owners to unlock and start the vehicle using an iPhone or Apple Watch. Furthermore, owners can share up to 16 digital keys with family and friends.
While Mercedes-Benz has yet to announce the car’s official launch date, this tech-packed executive wagon is already generating significant excitement and setting new standards for contemporary, connected cars.
