During the electoral process, approximately 137,000 army personnel and civil armed forces were deployed at around 6,000 selected “most sensitive” polling stations, along with over 7,800 Quick Response Forces (QRFs), ensuring a safe and secure environment for the public. The ISPR expressed gratitude to other law enforcement agencies for their collaborative efforts in safeguarding the democratic process.

Despite facing 51 terrorist attacks aimed at disrupting the electoral process, particularly in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (K-P) and Balochistan, the soldiers remained resolute and effectively ensured peace and security across Pakistan. Tragically, twelve individuals, including ten security personnel and law enforcement agencies personnel, were martyred, and 39 others sustained injuries in these attacks. Additionally, five terrorists were killed during various security operations.

Through proactive intelligence maneuvers and swift action, many potential threats were neutralized, highlighting the unwavering commitment of Pakistan’s security agencies to protect the democratic rights of its citizens, as emphasized by the ISPR.
