According to a local farmer, Miyazaki mangoes distinguish themselves with their vibrant red and purple hues, a departure from the conventional sunny yellow of most mango varieties. Beyond appearance, they also offer a unique flavor profile that sets them apart. In global markets, these premium mangoes fetch prices ranging from $800 to $900 per kilogram, equivalent to Rs. 250,000 to Rs. 300,000 per kg in Pakistan.

Initially introduced through pilot projects, the successful cultivation of Miyazaki mangoes in Karachi has opened doors for expanded production across the country. The fertile lands of Karachi’s Malir area have been particularly conducive to this endeavor, offering promising yields and sparking optimism for the future of Miyazaki mango cultivation in Pakistan.
