More than 6.5lac students eagerly apply for 100,000 laptops under PM Laptop Scheme

More than 650,000 students from 143 universities across Pakistan have eagerly applied for the Prime Minister’s Youth Laptop Scheme 2022-23, which aims to provide 100,000 laptops to deserving students. This overwhelming response reflects the strong demand for personal laptops among students and their recognition of the importance of technological resources in their educational journey.

The selection process for the laptop awards ensures fairness and transparency. It involves multiple stages of scrutiny and evaluation, starting with the review and verification of applications by designated focal persons at the respective universities and higher education institutions (HEIs). Following initial screening, the Higher Education Commission (HEC) generates merit lists from the online system, which will be made available online.
