In a recent public meeting, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif declared that Nawaz Sharif, the supreme leader of Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N), is poised to become the next prime minister if the party secures victory in the upcoming elections. Addressing the crowd, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif outlined the ambitious plans of the PML-N, stating that Nawaz Sharif’s leadership would initiate significant projects in agriculture, industry, and infrastructure, aimed at elevating the nation’s prosperity. Notably, an investment of Rs263 billion has been allocated for the construction of a motorway connecting Lahore to Bahawalnagar, alongside other essential development ventures.

Highlighting Nawaz Sharif’s past achievements, the Prime Minister reminisced about the challenging period of 20-hour load-shedding daily, which was significantly alleviated after Nawaz Sharif assumed power in 2013. The establishment of power projects, revival of industries and agriculture, and the landmark $30 billion China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) project were attributed to Nawaz Sharif’s astute governance.

Moreover, Shehbaz Sharif acknowledged the PML-N’s commitment to investing in education by providing laptops worth billions of rupees to millions of students. Defending the initiative, he cited the positive impact it had on empowering the youth with modern communication tools, enabling them to pursue meaningful livelihoods.

Further, the Prime Minister emphasized Nawaz Sharif’s role in fortifying Pakistan’s defense capabilities, narrating how he led the nation in conducting six nuclear tests in response to India’s five explosions. Shehbaz Sharif recalled Nawaz Sharif’s courageous decision to reject a $5 billion offer from then-US President Bill Clinton, standing firm on Pakistan’s path to becoming a nuclear state despite international pressure.

The speech also touched upon the PML-N’s commitment to combating terrorism, with Nawaz Sharif initiating the Zarb-e-Azb operation, led by the Pakistan Army, to eliminate the scourge of terrorism from the country. However, Shehbaz expressed regret over subsequent lapses in security that allowed terrorists to re-enter Pakistan and perpetrate heinous attacks on innocent lives.

In conclusion, the Prime Minister urged the public to support the PML-N in the forthcoming elections, expressing confidence in Nawaz Sharif’s ability to lead Pakistan towards a brighter and prosperous future. If elected, Nawaz Sharif pledges to continue his legacy of selfless service, initiating transformative projects, and further bolstering the nation’s position on the global stage.
