There’s terrible news if you share the password to your Netflix account with friends or family! The popular streaming service has initiated a global crackdown on password sharing.
Netflix began cracking down on password-sharing users in countries such as Canada, New Zealand, Portugal, and Spain in February 2023.

Users in more than 100 countries, including the United States of America, will now be charged an extra cost if they share passwords with friends or relatives.
Netlfix will notify users in 103 countries and territories that they should not share their account with others.
The message will explain that a Netflix account can only be used in one household and that customers can grant access to their account to someone outside their household for a charge.
This fee, which is now $8 per month in the United States, will be levied as an additional fee in each country.
The crackdown began in a few countries in February and has now extended throughout the world. According to the corporation, 100 million users worldwide utilise the service for free through the accounts of their friends.
