The National Highway Authority (NHA) has once again raised the toll tax rates for the Lahore-Islamabad Motorway (M2).
According to an official notice, the updated rates will be effective from August 25, 2023, until August 26, 2024. The revised toll rates per kilometer and total amounts for various vehicle categories are as follows:
|Category||Toll Rate Per Kilometer (Rs.)||Total Amount (Rs.)|
In addition to this toll rate adjustment, last month marked the commencement of construction on the Gujranwala Motorway Link Project. The project, costing Rs. 11 billion, aims to connect Gujranwala city to the motorway. Anticipated to conclude in 90 days, this initiative involves constructing a 58.1-kilometer road, including flyovers, to link Gujranwala with a nearby interchange. The link will significantly enhance travel convenience for the city’s residents, promoting economic growth and connectivity in the region.
