Nothing's Upcoming Earbuds Leaked Ahead of Launch

Nothing, the technology company, has announced its upcoming earbuds, set to be officially revealed on April 18, named the Nothing Ear and Nothing Ear (a). In a departure from its previous naming convention, the company has chosen to reset its scheme, abandoning numbers that traditionally denoted the generation of a product.

Details of both earbud models have emerged today, accompanied by images and specifications. The Nothing Ear is positioned as the premium offering between the two wearables, priced at approximately €150. These earbuds are expected to succeed the Nothing Ear (2), promising an enhanced audio experience.

The forthcoming Nothing Ear is engineered with durability as a priority, featuring an IP54 rating for dust and splash resistance, while the case will carry an IPX2 rating. With a battery life of 7.5 hours with ANC deactivated, the case extends the total battery life to 33 hours of listening time. Available in classic black and white color options, the Nothing Ear embodies the brand’s distinctive transparent aesthetic.

On the other hand, the Nothing Ear (a) serves as the more affordable alternative, priced at €100, in line with its name. Despite the lower price point, users can still anticipate features such as ANC, dual connection support, and rapid charging, mirroring the capabilities of its higher-end counterpart. It will also not compromise on battery life, offering 8 hours of playback without ANC and 38 hours with the case.

The case boasts even better ingress protection at IP55, while the earbuds themselves are limited to IP54. Available colors for this model include black, white, and yellow, with the yellow variant aiming to be more eco-friendly.
