On August 29, OnePlus will release its first foldable smartphone

According to tipster Max Jambor and SmartPix, OnePlus Open, a new launch event from the Chinese corporation, will take place on August 29.

According to rumors, OnePlus will announce its first-ever foldable phone during this event, and it will go on sale sometime during Q3. This event is expected to take place in New York and will be broadcast live online. The foldable phone will be available internationally soon after.

According to previous reports, the OnePlus Fold would compete with other top foldable phones such as the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold. It will be powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 SoC and will have up to 16 GB of RAM and 512 GB of storage.

It will have a 7.8-inch 120Hz AMOLED display with a punch-hole selfie camera. The secondary screen will reportedly be 6.3 inches in size. This will also be a 120Hz AMOLED panel, presumably with its own punch-hole selfie camera.

In terms of cameras, the main camera will have a 50MP IMX890 main sensor, a 48MP IMX581 ultrawide sensor, and a 64MP telephoto (perhaps with periscope zoom). This arrangement will most certainly be capable of shooting 4K video at 60 frames per second or higher.
