Marriott underscored the urgency of addressing climate change, emphasizing that Pakistan, despite having played no role in creating the problem, is among the countries most affected by the climate crisis. She highlighted Pakistan’s ranking as the eighth most affected country and 32nd in terms of preparedness. Recognizing the need for financial resources to tackle these challenges, Marriott pledged to work with the government on climate financing initiatives.
