Pakistan Railways Reveals Updated Train Timetable

Pakistan Railways has released a new winter timetable for trains, which will be effective from Sunday, October 15. This schedule includes several changes aimed at improving passenger accessibility and service. For instance, a new stop has been added for the Pakistan Express at Khairpur Railway Station, and some temporary stops have been converted into permanent ones.

Additionally, the Allama Iqbal Express and Quetta Express have introduced new stops at Lodhran Railway Station and Toba Tek Singh Railway Station, respectively. The stoppage period for certain trains, including Green Line, Rohri Express, Musa Pak Express, and Thal Express, has been extended at various stations.

The departure schedules for various trains have also been revised to better facilitate passengers during the winter season. These changes affect several trains, including Tezgam, Allama Iqbal Express, Karachi Express, Multan Express, Rahman Baba Express, Rawal Express, Thal Express, Kohat Express, Chenab Express, Mehran Express, Narowal Passenger, Shaheen Passenger, Rawalpindi Passenger, and Mianwali Express.

Notably, in recent months, Pakistan Railways has faced challenges due to increased fuel prices. The organization has had to raise fares twice in response to rising petrol and diesel prices, resulting in a nearly 20% fare increase. With reports of a potential reduction in petrol and diesel prices, it remains to be seen if Pakistan Railways will adjust fares accordingly.
