The Pakistani government is actively pursuing an engagement with the Bill Gates Foundation to secure investment in the country’s IT and Science sectors.
It has been reported that Bill Gates, the American business magnate and philanthropist, is scheduled to visit Pakistan on September 23, 2023.
Sources indicate that during Bill Gates’ visit to Pakistan, the government will seek to convince him to invest in and support the development of Pakistan’s IT and science and technology sectors.
In preparation for this visit, the government has requested information about key projects and investment opportunities from both the IT and Science and Technology ministries.
Caretaker Prime Minister Anwar-ul-Haq Kakar will provide Bill Gates with a comprehensive briefing on Pakistan’s IT and science and technology sectors during his visit.

This briefing will cover the potential of these sectors in Pakistan, as well as the government’s efforts to foster their growth and development.
It’s noteworthy that groundwork in this regard was laid when Bill Gates visited Pakistan in 2022, during which the government discussed potential cooperation in the IT sector.
This year, former Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif held a meeting with Bill Gates during his visit to the United States, during which discussions on IT cooperation also took place.
