Pakistan Set to Approve First-Ever National Space Policy
Pakistan is in the final stages of approving its first-ever National Space Policy, according to reliable sources. The policy aims to regulate the satellite industry in the country and includes the establishment of a National Space Agency.
Satellite service providers looking to offer services in Pakistan will need to register and obtain a Non-Objection Certificate (NOC) under the new policy. The draft policy, a collaborative effort between the Ministry of Information Technology and Telecommunication and the Space & Upper Atmosphere Research Commission (SUPARCO), has received feedback from various ministries and is expected to gain approval soon, as it has the consensus of all stakeholders.
