Pakistan Urges MENA Action: Gaza Ceasefire, Islamophobia

Islamabad, Pakistan – Interim Prime Minister Anwaar-ul-Haq Kakar engaged in pivotal discussions with ambassadors representing the Middle East and North Africa (MENA) region, centering on critical human rights issues in Palestine and the imperative need to combat Islamophobia.

A statement issued from the Prime Minister’s Office highlighted PM Kakar’s impassioned call for concerted efforts among Muslim nations to confront the multifaceted challenges prevailing in the Islamic world. In an interactive session with resident Ambassadors from the MENA region, Kakar reiterated Islamabad’s unwavering dedication to nurturing fraternal bonds with Muslim nations, especially those within the MENA realm.

During the dialogue, Kakar emphasized the foundational elements of relationships between Muslim nations, rooted in mutual trust, shared understanding, and robust cooperation encompassing bilateral and regional concerns of mutual importance. He eloquently conveyed Pakistan’s stance on several critical issues, notably drawing attention to the escalating human rights crises and dire humanitarian conditions in the occupied Palestinian territories.

The meeting served as a platform for extensive discussions surrounding the pervasive challenges confronting the Muslim world, with a specific focus on combating the rising issue of Islamophobia.

Prime Minister Kakar extended commendations to the Ambassadors for their dedicated efforts in fortifying the ties between Islamabad and their respective capitals.

The high-profile meeting witnessed the presence of Ambassadors representing Bahrain, Egypt, Iraq, Jordan, Kuwait, Lebanon, Libya, Morocco, Oman, Palestine, Saudi Arabia, Syria, United Arab Emirates, and Yemen, collectively underscoring the gravity of the discussions and the collaborative spirit aimed at addressing pressing concerns within the Islamic world.
