Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz won hearts with her heartfelt and affectionate response to students during a scholarship and laptop distribution ceremony in Sargodha.
As she addressed the crowd of enthusiastic young girls whose educational ambitions were being supported, a touching moment arose when some students expressed their desire to hug her. Responding with warmth and a smile, she said, “Thank you, I saw it. I’ll take this picture from you right now,” referring to the sign or gesture from the students.

She added warmly, “The girls said they want to hug me—I know that. I feel the same. A virtual hug from me to all of you.” Her compassionate words sparked joy among the students, turning the event into an emotional and memorable experience beyond its official purpose.
During her speech, Maryam Nawaz also announced that the Punjab government will distribute 100,000 laptops this year and has increased the number of scholarships from 30,000 to 50,000 to benefit more deserving students.
