The Anti-Narcotics Force (ANF) has successfully seized over Rs5.2 million worth of drugs, amounting to 65 kilograms, during various operations across Pakistan. The ANF arrested six suspects, including individuals linked to selling drugs in educational institutions.
In one operation near Sangjani Toll Plaza, 13.2 kilograms of hashish were seized from a rickshaw, leading to the arrest of two suspects. Additionally, 308 grams of hashish were recovered from a suspect near a major educational institution in Karachi, where the arrested individuals admitted to selling drugs to students.
Further operations saw the recovery of 9.6 kilograms of hashish near the Pirwadhai bus stand in Rawalpindi and 42 kilograms of hashish from a vehicle near Babu Petroleum in Faisalabad. Two more suspects were arrested in these raids. The individuals have been charged under the Anti-Narcotics Act, with investigations currently underway.

In a separate major operation near the Makran coastal line, the ANF tracked and intercepted a speedboat near Jiwani, seizing 60 kilograms of crystal methamphetamine (ice) concealed in packets and boxes. This operation was part of an effort to curb drug trafficking along Pakistan’s coastal borders.
The ANF is also actively cracking down on drug sales within educational institutions. Last month, two drug dealers were arrested near a university in Quetta, with 2 kilograms of crystal meth and 40 ecstasy pills confiscated. Additional operations near universities in Islamabad have uncovered drugs intended for student markets. According to a Pakistan Narcotics Control Board (PNCB) survey, 44% of university and college students reported drug use, often due to exam stress, peer pressure, or curiosity.
