Azam Khan, the senior secretary to former Prime Minister Imran Khan, reportedly informed the National Accountability Bureau on Friday that he was a “eyewitness” to all transactions in the Al-Qadir Trust case.
Azam came before the accountability watchdog in Rawalpindi in connection with the investigation of the £190m settlement case, where he recorded his statement and answered questions in front of the joint investigative team.

On July 20, NAB issued a notice to the former principal secretary, requiring him to appear at NAB Rawalpindi at 10 a.m. in connection with the matter.
According to reports, Azam validated pre-existing records in the Al-Qadir Trust case and detailed how the money was transferred.
He further acknowledged that he was an eyewitness to all transactions relating to the £190 million settlement case, claiming that he “witnessed a lot of things and that Imran Khan also gave instructions in this regard.”
Azam further disclosed that then-accountability assistant Shahzad Akbar was instrumental in preparing a summary requesting federal cabinet approval of a partnership with the UK’s National Crime Agency.
