LAHORE, Pakistan — Authorities continue to tighten the noose on those who attacked the Lahore Corps Commander House, popularly known as Jinnah House, and one such incident is the arrest of the husband of a PTI activist.
According to media sources, Atiq Riaz, the spouse of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) social media campaigner Sanam Javed, has been detained in Lahore.

Meanwhile, the Anti-Terrorism Court (ATC) imprisoned Atiq Riaz for an identification parade. The accused had previously appeared in court, where detectives sought authorization to proceed with legal proceedings.
The ATC judge accepted the plea and sentenced Atiq Riaz to six days in jail on judicial remand. Meanwhile, the accused’s lawyer claimed that the case against his client was politically motivated.
Sanam Javed, a PTI activist and loyal supporter, was arrested in the May arson case. She was caught in Lahore, the province capital, as violent protests erupted across the country in the aftermath of the stunning arrest of the PTI head.
