Twin Earthquakes Shake Pakistan

Two consecutive Earthquake shook the Zhob region of Balochistan early Monday morning, causing alarm among residents.

The National Seismic Monitoring Centre in Islamabad reported that the first earthquake had a magnitude of 5 and struck at a depth of 35 kilometres, with the epicentre located 106 kilometres south of Zhob.

The US Geological Survey indicated that this earthquake hit 61 kilometres north of Kohlu district at a depth of just 10 kilometres.

Less than an hour later, a second tremor with a magnitude of 3.9 struck the same area. This quake had a greater depth of 151 kilometres and its epicentre was 79 kilometres south of Zhob.

The successive tremors have raised concerns among locals, though no immediate reports of damage or casualties have been received. Authorities are closely monitoring the situation and advising residents to stay alert for any aftershocks.
