Film producer Charles Dobara has surprised fans by revealing his admiration for Pakistani folk legend Arif Lohar. In a recent video posted on Instagram, Dobara invited fans to join him and Lohar at an upcoming event in London, showcasing the bond between the two.
In the video, Charles Dobara introduced Arif Lohar to his followers, reflecting on the singer’s remarkable career. Dobara described Lohar as a man whose journey is deeply rooted in his family’s rich musical heritage.
“You may know of the renowned Pakistani singer Arif Lohar. His story is truly captivating. He comes from a family of eight brothers, and his father, Alam Lohar, instilled the Punjabi folk singing tradition in him,” Dobara explained.
Dobara also shared how Arif often speaks about his late father in interviews, most of which are conducted in Urdu. The producer went on to highlight the continued legacy of the Lohar family, with Arif’s three sons—Assam, Aamir, and Alam—now performing alongside him.
A heartwarming moment in the video captured Dobara comforting Lohar before a performance. “Don’t worry, just sing, I’ll do all the work. All you have to do is say ‘Ahh,’” Dobara assured the folk singer, showcasing his supportive and warm nature.

Charles Dobara further revealed that the event, which is scheduled for Sunday, the 17th of this month in London, is part of the Arbaeen event at Marble Arch. He invited fans to join him and Arif Lohar for a special evening, with tickets available via @samaraeventsuk.
Dobara clarified that his participation in the event is not financially motivated, stating that no promoter, firm, or social media platform has paid him for his involvement.
“I am retired and subsist on my savings. No one can sway my decisions. I do this for the reasons explained in my film Salvation for Love,” he added.
