Chinese Ambassador Jiang Zaidong recently visited the Pakistan Air Force (PAF) Headquarters in Islamabad, where he held a meeting with Air Chief Marshal Zaheer Ahmed Baber Sidhu. Their discussions centered on shared interests, with a strong focus on strengthening defence collaboration and addressing the changing regional and global strategic landscape.
According to the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), the Air Chief extended his appreciation to China for its steadfast support and enduring friendship.

He highlighted China’s valuable contributions in the fields of technology transfer, research, and development, and reiterated Pakistan’s dedication to expanding joint military exercises and fostering high-level interactions within multilateral frameworks.
Both sides underscored the need for closer coordination and collaboration to effectively tackle emerging regional security challenges.
Air Chief Marshal Sidhu remarked that Pakistan and China share a longstanding and historically rooted relationship, shaped by a common vision for peace and stability in the region. He emphasized that future ties between the two nations would continue to grow stronger through sustained cooperation and mutual engagement.
Ambassador Jiang commended the operational excellence demonstrated by the Pakistan Air Force during recent tensions with India, particularly noting the proficient use of Chinese-made military equipment and systems.
He also lauded Pakistan’s progress in developing indigenous defence technologies and pledged that China would maintain its technical support to further boost the PAF’s capabilities.
Additionally, the ambassador highlighted that advancements in Pakistan’s domestic technological sector would play a key role in enhancing the country’s overall defence strength.
