Chinese Premier Li Qiang Arrives in Islamabad for Historic SCO Summit

Chinese Premier Li Qiang arrived in Islamabad on Monday aboard an Air China flight, marking the first visit by a Chinese prime minister to Pakistan in 11 years. He was personally welcomed at the airport by Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, highlighting the importance of this diplomatic visit.

After receiving a warm reception, Premier Li Qiang was escorted to the Prime Minister House, where he was honored with a formal guard of honor.

The two leaders are scheduled for one-on-one discussions, followed by delegation-level meetings aimed at deepening bilateral relations.

A significant aspect of the visit will be the signing of multiple Memorandums of Understanding (MoUs), including major agreements under CPEC-2 and other vital initiatives to enhance economic and infrastructure cooperation between the countries.

Additionally, the inauguration of Gwadar International Airport will take place, underscoring the ongoing strategic partnership between Pakistan and China.
