Court Orders Removal of Advertisements from Public Property in Sindh

In a recent hearing at the Sindh High Court, a judge upheld a decision from December 15th, ordering authorities to promptly remove all advertisements from public property within the next 15 days. This reaffirmation comes with a stern directive to adhere to the Supreme Court of Pakistan’s decision on the matter.

The court also directed companies responsible for placing these advertisements to face legal consequences, including the filing of FIRs against their Chief Executive Officers (CEOs). This move aims to hold accountable those contributing to the clutter on public spaces.

Furthermore, all organizations involved were instructed to submit a comprehensive compliance report along with a copy of the FIR in the upcoming hearing. The Managing Committee of SOVA (association not explicitly defined) expressed gratitude for any legal support but emphasized their limitations in providing assistance against advertisers.

This development underscores a renewed effort to maintain the sanctity of public spaces and ensure compliance with legal directives concerning advertising on public property in Sindh.
