A recent clash between militants and the Counter Terrorism Department (CTD) in Kech district of Balochistan has led to the demise of at least four terrorists during an intense exchange of fire.
The CTD, acting on intelligence about the presence of terrorists near Pasni Road, swiftly initiated a raid in the area. Upon arrival, the militants, reported to be a group of seven to eight individuals, initiated gunfire at the security personnel, instigating a fierce confrontation. The militants resorted to using RPGs and hand grenades during the skirmish.
During the confrontation, four terrorists were neutralized as they attempted to escape the scene. However, the remaining militants managed to evade capture, taking advantage of the cover of darkness.

Following the operation, security officials recovered a substantial cache of weapons, including pistols, grenades, and an improvised explosive device (IED)-fitted motorbike, underscoring the militants’ preparation for potential attacks.
The bodies of the deceased militants were subsequently transported to the Teaching Hospital Turbat for necessary legal procedures. Simultaneously, an investigation has been initiated by the CTD to further delve into the incident.
The clash highlights the ongoing efforts of security agencies in Balochistan to combat militant activity and maintain law and order in the region. The swift action by the CTD exemplifies their commitment to thwarting threats posed by extremist elements and ensuring the safety of the populace.
