Deputy Prime Minister Ishaq Dar clarified that a decision to replace Sindh Governor Kamran Tessori is expected in the coming days.
Dar refuted speculation about the change and confirmed that PML-N provincial chief and former DG FIA Bashir Memon will not be the new governor.

This announcement follows MQM-Pakistan’s denial of any change, with the party stating that if a new appointment was planned, they would have been consulted.
Kamran Tessori’s previous appointment surprised the MQM-P Rabita Committee, as his name was not among the three candidates proposed by the party.
Under a pre-election agreement between PPP and PML-N, the Sindh-ruling party selected candidates for the presidency and Senate Chairman, while the PML-N chose the prime minister and National Assembly speaker.
