Punjab’s ‘Apni Chat, Apna Ghar’ Housing Scheme program will launch on August 14, featuring easy repayment options and subsidies.

Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz introduced the housing scheme and approved three design models in a recent meeting. She instructed officials to proceed without service charges for plot owners and emphasized the inclusion of a living room in the house designs.

‘Apni Chat, Apna Ghar Scheme’ 

A new specialized portal is being developed for digital applications for the scheme, as per Secretary Housing Asadullah Khan.

Application forms will be available at Deputy Commissioner and Assistant Commissioner offices. Plot owners with plots up to 5 marlas can qualify for interest-free loans to build their homes. Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz noted that these loans can be repaid in manageable installments.

Under the PHATA Ordinance 2002, beneficiaries will receive 3- and 5-marla houses within private schemes. PHATA beneficiaries will make payments over five years, with subsidies provided by the Punjab government to reduce housing costs.

Approximately 70,000 plot owners in urban and rural areas are expected to benefit from these interest-free loans.
