At least 35 Pakistani pilgrims have died during this year’s Hajj, which has been marked by extreme heat, contributing to a total death toll exceeding 900.
The Ministry of Religious Affairs in Pakistan cautioned against relying on social media for information amidst reports of numerous deaths.

According to international media sources citing diplomats and officials, fatalities included 600 Egyptians, 144 Indonesians, 68 Indians, 60 Jordanians, 35 Tunisians, 11 Iranians, and some Senegalese pilgrims. These tragic incidents occurred amid high temperatures in Saudi Arabia.
While the Kingdom has reported over 2,700 cases of heat exhaustion, it has not officially disclosed the exact number of fatalities.
