Flight from Islamabad to Dubai Delayed by Seven Hours, Passengers Stage Protest

A flight from Islamabad to Dubai faced a significant delay of seven hours, sparking frustration among approximately 200 passengers at the New Islamabad Airport. The private airline flight, originally scheduled to depart at 2:15 PM, was unable to take off even after the lengthy wait, leaving passengers angry and demanding answers.

The delayed flight affected passengers from all walks of life, including elderly individuals, women, and children, who staged a protest at the airport. Their anger was compounded by the absence of airline staff, leaving them without assistance or any updates on the flight’s status.

The protest not only showcased the passengers’ frustration but also disrupted airport operations. Passengers called on the airline to address the issue and ensure such delays are avoided in the future.

Earlier, flight operations at various airports in Pakistan had already been impacted by adverse weather conditions. Heavy rain, fog, and thunderstorms affected visibility at several airports, leading to the cancellation of multiple flights to northern regions, including those to Gilgit and Skardu.

In total, four flights from Islamabad to Gilgit and two flights to Skardu were canceled. Additionally, delays were reported for 14 other flights across various airports due to ongoing weather disruptions.
