Pakistan’s Chief of Army Staff General Syed Asim Munir reaffirmed the military’s unwavering readiness to defend the nation, paying tribute to the sacrifices made for Pakistan’s creation. Speaking at the passing out parade at the Pakistan Military Academy in Kakul, he stressed the distinct identity of Muslims compared to Hindus, underlining the foundation of the two-nation theory.
General Munir highlighted that Pakistan’s existence is the result of unparalleled efforts and sacrifices, and assured that the armed forces are prepared to protect the country’s sovereignty at all costs. “We know how to defend our motherland,” he stated during his address.

Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif also spoke at the event, inviting a neutral and transparent investigation into the recent Pahalgam attack to counter India’s accusations. He criticized India’s “perpetual blame game” and reiterated Pakistan’s commitment to supporting Kashmiris’ right to self-determination.
The prime minister warned against any violation of the Indus Waters Treaty by India, describing water as Pakistan’s lifeline and cautioning of a strong response to any aggressive moves. He further reminded the world of Pakistan’s sacrifices in the global fight against terrorism, emphasizing the heavy human and economic toll endured by the nation.
