Government Raises Rental Allowance for Grade 1-22 Employees in 6 Cities

The federal government has raised the rental allowances for grade 1 to 22 employees in six major cities. According to official documents, the Estate Office has issued a notification regarding the revised rental ceilings for hiring residential accommodations in Islamabad, Rawalpindi, Karachi, Peshawar, Lahore, and Quetta.

The Ministry of Housing and Works approved this revision after conducting a detailed survey to evaluate the market rent rates in these cities. The assessment was aimed at updating the rental ceilings to better reflect current market conditions.

The survey revealed that rental rates differ significantly depending on the area or sector. The revised market rates for residential accommodations in various parts of Islamabad have also been outlined in the report.
