The victim, Mukhtiar, a resident of Ping Lad village in Tehsil Mankera, shared his ordeal with the media, explaining that he and his family were humble villagers who fell prey to fraudsters. He disclosed that a man named Muhammad Ramzan, allegedly linked to the gang, arranged his marriage for a sum of Rs300,000.
A proper wedding ceremony was conducted, and Mukhtiar was legally wed to Kosar Bibi. However, just six days later, in the dead of night, his bride disappeared without a trace.
Not only did she flee, but she also took valuable gold jewelry, including four gold bangles and earrings, amounting to approximately Rs1.4 million.
When Mukhtiar sought answers from his in-laws, they allegedly threatened him with severe consequences and even brandished weapons, leaving him fearing for his safety.
