Heavy rainfall in Punjab has resulted in the loss of lives

According to the weather division, Lahore is currently experiencing strong rain and thunderstorms, with sporadic rain expected throughout the day.

Due to the excessive rain, two youngsters were killed. The first was a 17-year-old who drowned in rainwater at Do Moria Pull, and the second was a 12-year-old who drowned near Thokar Niaz Baig.

Raafia Haider, Deputy Commissioner of Lahore, has directed the assistant commissioner to visit the affected districts. She also asked citizens to be cautious and keep youngsters away from water in order to avoid further accidents.
The severe rains also wreaked havoc in Mansehra, when three decaying buildings fell. Three people were killed in this tragedy, including two children and a lady, while four others were injured.
Heavy rain in Phalia caused the roof of a house to collapse, killing one woman and wounding another.
Flooding has occurred in low-lying areas and on major roadways throughout Lahore as a result of the rain. The greatest recorded rainfall in specific regions includes 200 mm in Gulshan-e-Ravi, 191 mm in Tajpura, 178 mm in Lakshmi Chowk, 190 mm in Nishtar Town, 174 mm in Pani wala Talab, 160 mm in Johar Town, 172 mm in Qartaba Chowk, 154 mm in Iqbal Town, and 166 mm in Mughalpura.
Lahore is at risk of urban floods due to three hours of continuous heavy rain. Water has gathered in a number of locations, including Model Town, Faisal Town, and Johar Town. Furthermore, the inclement weather caused some electricity feeders to trip. The authorities are actively monitoring the situation in order to respond to any emergency that may arise.
