Heightened Security in Islamabad, Parks Restricted to Families

Islamabad authorities have intensified security across the city, restricting entry to public parks exclusively for families during Eid celebrations.

IG Islamabad stated that over 500 traffic officers have been deployed to manage traffic flow, while more than 3,500 police personnel are actively patrolling the city to ensure safety.

To further enhance security, 18 checkpoints have been established at key entry and exit points. Additionally, both four-wheelers and two-wheelers are conducting patrols in various sectors to maintain law and order.

As per the latest government notification, by 2025, Lake View Park and Daman-e-Koh will officially be designated as family-only parks, with entry restricted to families for all three days of Eid-ul-Fitr.
