Indian media also indicate that Jaishankar may attend a dinner hosted by Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif in honor of the summit’s dignitaries. This visit represents a rare diplomatic engagement between India and Pakistan, particularly given the strained relations between the two neighboring countries in recent years.

In related news, Chinese Prime Minister Li Qiang recently arrived in Islamabad on an Air China flight for a historic visit, marking the first visit by a Chinese premier to Pakistan in 11 years.

Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif personally welcomed his Chinese counterpart at the airport, after which Li Qiang proceeded to the PM House, where he received a formal guard of honor. Both leaders are scheduled for one-on-one discussions, followed by delegation-level meetings to enhance bilateral ties.
