Indian Shelling Along LoC Claims Five Lives, Pakistan Retaliates Strongly

In a serious escalation along the Line of Control (LoC), unprovoked shelling by the Indian Army martyred five Pakistani civilians and injured more than ten others across multiple sectors of Azad Kashmir.

The overnight violence hit areas including Rawalakot, Hajira, Neelum Valley, and Kotli, where Pakistan Army forces responded forcefully, silencing Indian posts with heavy retaliatory fire. In the Khoirta sector of Kotli, four civilians, including a young girl, lost their lives, and over ten others were taken to DHQ Hospital for treatment.

Pakistan also downed an Indian quadcopter in the Baghsar area of Samahani, Azad Kashmir, while authorities warned residents about dangerous toy bombs reportedly spread along the LoC by Indian forces.
