Ishaq Dar Calls for Senate Meeting to Discuss Gaza Crisis

In Islamabad, Ishaq Dar, the Leader of the House in the Senate, has formally requested Chairman Sadiq Sanjrani to organize a meeting of the upper house of parliament to discuss the situation in Gaza.

In a letter sent by Dar to Sanjrani, he highlighted the dire conditions in Palestine over the past 10 days, with thousands of civilians losing their lives. He also pointed out that many Palestinians have suffered severe injuries due to Israeli airstrikes. The blockade imposed by Israeli forces has resulted in a scarcity of essential supplies such as food, oil, electricity, and clean drinking water in Gaza.

Ishaq Dar urged Chairman Sanjrani to promptly convene a Senate meeting to address the current situation in Palestine. He also mentioned that the Balochistan Awami Party had made a similar request for the meeting.
