Islamabad Police Ensure Tight Security for PSL X Teams

Islamabad Police have finalized security arrangements for the teams participating in the HBL Pakistan Super League (PSL) X. The arrangements were confirmed after an inspection of key locations and team accommodations by SSP Security, Muhammad Sarfaraz Virk, under the direction of IG Islamabad Police, Ali Nasir Rizvi.

Virk highlighted the use of advanced technology to guarantee the safety of the players and the smooth running of matches, especially in Rawalpindi, where the opening match will be held on April 11 between Islamabad United and Lahore Qalandars at Rawalpindi Cricket Stadium.

In addition to the security measures, the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has named 13 umpires and seven match referees to officiate the opening 30 matches of the tournament. The officiating panel includes top umpires from the ICC Elite Panel and the PCB’s International Panel, while seven match referees have been appointed, including ICC Elite Panel members Ranjan Madugalle and Roshan Mahanama.

The tournament will be held in four cities: Rawalpindi, Lahore, Karachi, and Multan. The final match will be played on May 18, and the event will feature 34 matches, with three double-headers scheduled throughout the competition.
