The Capital Development Authority (CDA) has greenlit consultancy services for three major tourism projects in Islamabad — a world-class theme park, Pakistan’s largest Ferris wheel, and a scenic cable car service.

The approval was given during the 75th meeting of the CDA Development Working Party. These developments aim to uplift Islamabad’s recreational facilities and attract both domestic and international tourists.

The consultancy phase includes detailed feasibility studies and designs: Rs. 206 million has been allocated for the theme park, Rs. 61.8 million for the Ferris wheel, and Rs. 197.76 million for the cable car project. These are expected to be completed within six months.

Officials believe Islamabad is in dire need of modern leisure options. The new facilities promise scenic rides, panoramic city views, family-friendly attractions, and eco-conscious commuting through lush green zones.

These projects are part of a broader vision to transform Islamabad into a tourist-friendly and economically vibrant city, enhancing urban life and creating new job opportunities.
