In response to security concerns and escalating aggression from India, Rawalpindi’s administration has enforced a complete blackout in all private housing societies.
A directive issued by the authorities mandates that the blackout will be observed from 7 PM to 5 AM.

During this time, streetlights must remain off, and residents are instructed to switch off all outdoor lights, including porch lights.
Additionally, the administration recommends fully covering windows and using minimal indoor lighting in homes and offices.
Citizens are also urged to avoid unnecessary travel during these hours.
